What is Rotary?
Founded in 2009
Seville Rotary Club Founded
Reaching a new and different audience and introducing them to the mission and purpose of Rotary. By focusing on membership consisting of a mix of younger professionals in our community and established leaders in business and service, Seville Rotary set out to reshape the perception of Rotary. Using as a guide the “Object of Rotary” and the “Four Way Test” of Rotarians, Seville Rotary members organized fundraisers and community service events that would be beneficial to all in our community.
Donated Thousands to Charities
Since our founding, we have donated thousands of dollars to local community groups and schools and spent countless hours volunteering with a variety of organizations. It is through these efforts and donations that Seville Rotary makes our community a better place to live, play, work, and grow. Some of the organizations which have benefitted from Seville Rotary include The USO, Ronald McDonald House, West Pensacola Elementary, First Tee, Junior Achievement, Boys and Girls Club, ECARE, Capstone, Autism Pensacola, Children's Home Society, United Way, Keep Pensacola Beautiful, Ray of Hope Wheelchair Ramps, and Gulf Coast Kid’s House
Seville Rotary Foundation District Grant
The District Grant program allows our club to take on a signature project every year that is funded through Rotary International’s foundation program. Each year, our club partners with an organization in the Pensacola community to achieve specific project goals. In recent years, Seville Rotary has partnered with Ray of Hope Wheelchair Ramps to construct wheelchair ramps for residents in need throughout our community; Debug Mobility for the purchase of four beach wheelchairs that were donated to nursing and elderly care facilities in Pensacola; Gulf Coast Kids House to update their online Safe Kids Zone training videos; and this year we are working with Huts 4 Our Friends to construct tiny houses for the Pensacola homeless community.
Diversity of Our Community
Our membership reflects the diversity of our community, with representatives from local businesses, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs, and educators. Our diverse membership has positioned our club to work tirelessly to have a lasting, meaningful impact on our community.
